Hi! My name is Ava, I'm a queer woman [She/They]. If you reblog TERFs, you support TERFs, and are not welcome to any content on this page. Unkindly fuck right off. Porn blogs/fetish blogs are not welcome to follow me and will be blocked.
A long time ago I took a course on the sociology of marriage and my professor said “With compromise, you both lose. As a couple, you must collaborate on the best possible outcome.” Ever since, I never prioritize compromise in a relationship, only collaboration.
this seems like a great concept and all but. what does it actually mean?
Compromise is typically thought of as a 50/50 split amongst partner’s needs. They’re both left partially unsatisfied, but this dissatisfaction is deemed acceptable because it is ‘equal.’ However, with additional effort, many problems may be solved through collaboration; keywords: additional effort.
In collaborating, one may try to make the conflict more complex in order to expand the possible positive outcomes. This requires trust in both parties, empathy, and consideration for one another’s needs.
The objective should shift from getting what you want and ‘keeping things quiet’ to making sure your partner feels heard and considered (as they should do with you). Essentially, you must trust that your partner has your happiness in mind, and you must have theirs, instead of fighting for your own best interest.
For further explanation, Google “compromise vs collaboration.”
Our culture really romanticises the idea
of a brooding misunderstood loner who’s an asshole to everyone
but secretly has a heart of gold, so it’s frighteningly easy to meet a guy who treats everyone around him badly and believe without evidence that he has a heart of gold.
Don’t fall for it.
And a lapse in cruelty is not evidence of kindness.
“A lapse in cruelty is not evidence of kindness” Bolded because that line is so incredibly important
lmao 4chan/reddit nerds are so fucking cranky that the SCP Wiki made their logo rainbow-colored for pride month that they started their own SCP knockoff
“do not complain about politics” say manbabies so fucking angry that someone acknowledged the existence of gay people that they make their own site
It’s about time people realize that Trump is dehumanizing immigrants and turning them into a nonexistent enemy.
So if Trump cares so fucking much about the families of victims of violent crime, is he going to have Heather Heyer’s mother come for a press conference? How about the families of the victims of the Portland Train Stabbing? How about the families of the victims from the Charleston Church shooting? How about the family of Trayvon Martin? Michael Brown? Philado Castile? Eric Gardner? Tamir Rice? Sandra Bland?
I have been waiting for the Gokushufudou manga my entire life. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted. A dangerous dude who probably did a lot of bad stuff drops everything from his previous life and turns over a new leaf to become a house husband who supports and admires and loves his wife??????? Who goes all the fuck out for her??? Amazing. Incredible. I love it. Please give me more.
Before vs After you meet your amazing, talented, beautiful wife.
I remember the second time I ever bottomed the guy used something he called “love garden” which was supposed to help with the pain because I said how much I hated bottoming the first time—and I was amazed! Although it still felt like taking a shit I at least didn’t feel like someone was digging in me like they were looking for a spoon in the garbage disposal. But the morning after I went to go poop and everything fell out of me with no push or anything and I noticed I had a one inch gape! 9 hours later! I spent the next 12 hours having panic attacks and considered how I would call my mom and explain to her that I needed my hole sewn up when at last I regained control and clenched back up.
Anyway, my man Elmo here is looking exactly how I looked when I went to inspect myself that morning and could slide 4 fingers in without blinking
